TeeWise Inc. (“TeeWise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the TeeWise mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “App”).

By using TeeWise, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:

• the TeeWise mobile application;
• TeeWise account registration and login;
• course condition reporting, round tracking, post-round condition entry, course ratings, Crew, leaderboard, club tracking, scorecard, and profile features;
• TeeWise support communications;
• TeeWise website pages that link to this Privacy Policy; and
• third-party service providers and software development kits used to operate the App.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, golf course websites, app stores, advertising networks, or external services that we do not control.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only information reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and support the App.

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you register for or use TeeWise, we may collect:

• Email address — used for account creation, authentication, support, and important account communications.
• Display name — your chosen public username within the App.
• Date of birth — used to verify age eligibility.
• Home region — used to show relevant golf course information near you.
• Handicap index — optional; used to personalize your golf profile and leaderboard experience.
• Skill level — optional; used to personalize your experience and TeeWise identity/archetype.
• Profile photo — optional; displayed on your profile and in Crew features if uploaded.
• Support messages — information you provide when contacting TeeWise for help.

3.2 Information You Generate Through App Use

When you use TeeWise, you may create or submit:

• course condition reports and post-round condition entries;
• course ratings and reviews;
• text updates, condition tags, and status reports;
• photos uploaded with course condition reports;
• favourited courses;
• round scores, hole-by-hole scoring data, putts, fairways in regulation, greens in regulation, tee shot direction, first putt distance, club selection, penalties, and round history;
• golf profile information, Golfer DNA identity and archetype information (algorithmically derived from your round data, stats, and playing behaviour to assign a golf identity — such as "The Closer" or "The Scrambler" — that may be displayed on your public profile and within App features), and handicap trend data;
• leaderboard participation and rankings;
• Crew friend connections, friend profiles, and related activity (Crew is TeeWise's in-app social connections feature that allows users to connect with and follow other golfers);
• likes and confirmations on community condition posts.

3.3 Information Collected Automatically

We may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

• device type;
• operating system;
• app version;
• device identifiers;
• advertising identifiers, where permitted by your device settings and consent choices;
• crash logs;
• error reports;
• performance data;
• app usage data, such as screens viewed, features used, and interactions within the App;
• push notification tokens if you enable notifications.

3.4 Location Information

TeeWise collects your selected home region. TeeWise does not collect continuous background GPS location.

If you choose to enable location-based features, your device may allow TeeWise or third-party mapping services to process approximate or precise location information to show nearby golf courses or map-related features. You can manage location permissions through your device settings at any time.

3.5 Photos and Uploaded Content

If you upload photos to TeeWise, those photos may be visible to other users depending on the feature used. Photos may also contain metadata, such as time, device, or location metadata, depending on your device settings. You should avoid uploading photos that contain private, sensitive, or identifying information that you do not want others to see.

3.6 Subscription and Payment Information

TeeWise offers a free tier and a TeeWise Pro subscription tier. Subscription purchases and renewals are processed exclusively by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). TeeWise does not collect, store, or process your credit card number or full payment card details.

TeeWise may receive confirmation of subscription status, transaction identifiers, and entitlement data from our subscription management provider (RevenueCat) to determine whether you are entitled to Pro features. This information is used solely to manage your subscription access and is not used for advertising purposes.

3.7 Advertising Data

The free tier of TeeWise may display advertisements through Google AdMob or similar advertising services. These services may collect or process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic information, and ad interaction data to deliver, measure, and improve advertising.

TeeWise does not provide advertisers with your email address, display name, handicap, round scores, Crew connections, or personal golf profile information for direct advertising purposes.

You can manage personalized advertising through your device settings:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
• Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on your device)

Where required, TeeWise will request permission before enabling tracking for advertising purposes.

3.8 Weather Radar and Environmental Data

TeeWise may offer a Weather Pulse feature that provides live weather radar and course condition information. This feature uses weather radar data sourced from Government of Canada public datasets and third-party weather data providers. To display relevant weather information, TeeWise or these providers may process approximate location data associated with the golf courses you view or your selected home region.

TeeWise does not collect or retain precise GPS location data through the Weather Pulse feature. Weather radar data sourced from the Government of Canada is made available under the Open Government Licence — Canada. TeeWise does not store or retain raw radar data beyond what is operationally necessary to display the feature in real time.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• to create, authenticate, and manage your account;
• to provide and operate the App and all its features, including round tracking, hole-by-hole scoring, post-round condition entry, club tracking, scorecard, stats, conditions feed, leaderboard, and Crew;
• to determine your subscription tier (free or Pro) and enable gated features accordingly;
• to display golf course condition reports, ratings, reviews, and related community features;
• to personalize your experience based on your region, preferences, golf profile, TeeWise identity/archetype, handicap, and App activity;
• to enable push notifications if you consent;
• to send account, security, verification, and transactional emails;
• to respond to support requests;
• to improve App performance, reliability, safety, and usability;
• to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms;
• to comply with legal obligations;
• to display advertising that supports the free version of the App.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. TeeWise Pro Subscription

TeeWise offers a free tier and a TeeWise Pro subscription that unlocks additional features. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat, which processes entitlement data from Apple App Store and Google Play.

Free tier features include basic round tracking, the course conditions feed, posting condition updates, Crew/friends features, and leaderboard access.

Pro tier features include additional round detail inputs (first putt distance, club selection, penalties and hazards), scorecard access during rounds, hole history, detailed stats (fairways, greens, trends), conditions impact analysis, and dark mode.

Subscription pricing, trial periods, cancellation terms, and refund policies are governed by the applicable App Store terms. Where TeeWise offers a free trial period, access to Pro features during the trial is provided under the same conditions as a paid subscription.

6. Public and Private Information

Some TeeWise features are community-based and may display information to other users.

6.1 Information That May Be Public

The following information may be visible to other TeeWise users:

• display name;
• profile photo;
• public profile details;
• course condition reports and post-round condition entries;
• uploaded condition-report photos;
• course ratings and reviews;
• leaderboard standing;
• TeeWise identity/archetype information where displayed by the App;
• likes and confirmations on community condition posts.

6.2 Information That Is Not Public by Default

The following information is not intended to be public by default:

• email address;
• date of birth;
• private account details;
• push notification token;
• support communications;
• precise device identifiers;
• detailed round data (hole-by-hole scores, putts, club selection, penalties) except where a feature expressly displays or shares them;
• handicap trend data except where displayed by leaderboard or profile features;
• subscription tier and payment-related information;
• Crew-related activity except where visible to your Crew or within App features.

You are responsible for the content you choose to post publicly in the App.

7. How We Share Information

We share personal information only where reasonably necessary to operate the App, provide services, comply with law, or protect TeeWise and its users.

7.1 Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to help operate TeeWise. These providers may process information on our behalf.

These service providers process information according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

7.2 Course Operator and Admin Portal Access

TeeWise may offer a course operator or verified business portal that allows golf course operators, representatives, or administrators to claim or manage their course listing and interact with condition data, reviews, and course information within the App. If you are a course operator or representative accessing TeeWise through such a portal:

• Your access credentials, account activity, and business contact information may be collected and retained to authenticate your access and manage your course listing.
• You may be able to view certain aggregated or de-identified data about user interactions with your course listing.
• You may have the ability to post official course updates, condition notices, or course information visible to TeeWise users.
• Your use of the course operator portal is subject to any additional terms and data practices disclosed to you at the time of registration for that portal.

TeeWise does not grant course operators access to individual user accounts, personal round data, or identifiable user information through the portal without user consent.

7.3 Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

• comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or government request;
• enforce our Terms and Conditions;
• protect the rights, safety, or property of TeeWise, users, or others;
• investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical issues.

7.4 Business Transactions

If TeeWise Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections.

8. International Processing and Storage

TeeWise is based in Canada. Some personal information may be stored or processed in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where information is processed outside your province, territory, or country, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement, regulators, or government authorities.

We take reasonable steps to use service providers that maintain appropriate privacy and security safeguards.

9. Consent and Your Choices

By creating an account and using TeeWise, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

You may withdraw consent to certain uses of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. However, some information is necessary to operate the App. If you withdraw consent for essential processing, you may no longer be able to use some or all App features.

You can control certain choices through:

• App settings;
• device permission settings;
• push notification settings;
• location permission settings;
• advertising and tracking settings;
• subscription management through your App Store or Google Play account;
• account deletion tools;
• contacting TeeWise support.

10. Push Notifications

With your permission, TeeWise may send push notifications about course conditions, Crew activity, app updates, reminders, or relevant App activity.

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling push notifications does not prevent you from using the App.

We collect push notification tokens solely to deliver notifications and maintain notification functionality.

11. Marketing and Email Communications

TeeWise may send transactional emails related to your account, including authentication, verification, security, password, support, and service-related messages.

We will only send marketing or promotional emails where permitted by law. Where required, we will obtain your consent and provide an unsubscribe option.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate the App, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain security.

Generally:

• account information is retained while your account is active;
• public posts, condition reports, ratings, reviews, and uploaded content may remain visible unless deleted or removed;
• round data and stats are retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion unless you have requested earlier deletion;
• subscription and entitlement records may be retained for a limited period after cancellation for dispute resolution, legal compliance, and fraud prevention purposes;
• support records may be retained for business, security, and legal purposes;
• logs, analytics, and diagnostic data may be retained for a limited period;
• anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely because it no longer identifies you.

If you delete your account, TeeWise will delete or de-identify your personal account information within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

Some public or community-generated content may remain in anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified form.

13. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your TeeWise account and associated personal information.

You can delete your account by:

• using the account deletion option inside the App, where available; or
• submitting a deletion request at: support@teewiseapp.com.

TeeWise will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable time and generally within 30 days, unless retention is required or permitted by law.

Deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete your TeeWise account or associated data. Cancelling a TeeWise Pro subscription does not delete your account or personal data.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• withdraw consent to certain uses of your information;
• request deletion of your personal information;
• ask questions about our privacy practices;
• challenge our compliance with applicable privacy laws;
• file a complaint with a privacy regulator.

15. Children and Age Eligibility

TeeWise is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older, or who have reached the legal age of majority in their province or territory. Users under the legal age of majority require a parent or legal guardian to review and agree to this Privacy Policy on their behalf.

We collect date of birth during registration to verify age eligibility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users who are under 18 or under the age of majority in their province or territory without verified parental or guardian consent.

If we learn that a user under the applicable age of majority has created an account without parental or guardian consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated personal information.

16. Quebec Privacy Notice

If you are located in Quebec, additional privacy protections may apply.

TeeWise has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for privacy compliance. You may contact the Privacy Officer at support@teewiseapp.com.

TeeWise may use service providers located outside Quebec, which means personal information may be communicated or processed outside Quebec. We take reasonable steps to assess privacy risks and use appropriate safeguards before relying on such service providers.

TeeWise does not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the applicable age of majority without parental or guardian consent.

TeeWise does not use your personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.

17. Security Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards may include:

• encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS;
• access controls and authentication protections;
• secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase, hosted in Canada where applicable);
• role-based permissions;
• monitoring and error logging;
• periodic review of security practices.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

18. Privacy Breaches and Security Incidents

If TeeWise becomes aware of a privacy breach or security incident involving personal information, we will assess the incident and take appropriate steps to contain, investigate, and remediate it.

Where required by law, we will notify affected individuals and applicable privacy regulators. We will also maintain breach records as required by applicable law.

19. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may link to golf course websites, booking platforms, maps, advertisers, app stores, or other third-party services. These third parties are not controlled by TeeWise and may collect, use, or disclose information according to their own privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party websites or services.

20. Advertising and Tracking

TeeWise may use Google AdMob or other advertising services to support the free version of the App. TeeWise Pro subscribers may have a reduced or ads-free experience; the specific advertising treatment for Pro subscribers will be described in the App.

Advertising partners may use device identifiers, advertising identifiers, cookies, SDKs, pixels, or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, subject to your device settings and consent choices.

On iOS, where required, TeeWise will request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before tracking your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies.

On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID through your device settings.

You may still see ads if you disable personalized advertising, but those ads may be less relevant.

21. Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may create aggregated or de-identified information from App activity, course condition reports, round data, ratings, or usage trends.

Aggregated or de-identified information does not identify you personally. We may use this information to improve TeeWise, understand golf course trends, develop business insights, support course analytics, and improve App features.

We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except where permitted by law for security, testing, or compliance purposes.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Privacy Policy in the App, updating the “Last Updated” date, and, where appropriate, notifying you by email or in-app notice.

Your continued use of TeeWise after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
